All right stop, celebrate and listen.

All right stop, celebrate and listen.

A study of successful and unsuccessful marriages revealed that the number one factor that tears relationship apart is contempt.

By contrast, the strongest predictor for a healthy relationship was when people joined their partners in celebrating and appreciating the things they valued, both big and small.

This is true of teams too - celebrating wins, big or small, is not just a fun activity, but vital to the health of the group.

We tend to dwell on the things that haven't gone so well and often neglect to stop and take the time to recognise what has gone right.

When we acknowledge success, however, we naturally experience a feeling of growth which we all desire to feel as humans.

As you build and lead your team on your journey, there will be many challenges you face and mistakes and frustrations will occur.

However, you must try to pay as much attention to the successes along the way. Pausing to celebrate as a team will build positive goodwill and happy memories that will carry you through the next stage of your adventure together.
